This got me to thinking about fans of professional sports teams. I’m a Cubs fan, like every good North Sider should be. But it’s a business. I like Tesla, and have acquired one, but I don’t root for Team Tesla. Why do I root for the employees of a business? So I’ve always maintained a certain distance in my Cubs fandom.
But I do like a good baseball game. So it’s root root root for the home team.
